20th Century Fox Bundling Android Digital Movies with Blu-Ray Purchases

20th Century Fox has unveiled a really exciting new offering for movie buffs and Android lovers alike. In the future, the publishing giant will be offering digital downloads bundled with their Blu-Ray packages. These downloads will be able to be side-loaded on an Android device completely for free, as a part of the Blu-Ray purchase.

The first film that will receive the treatment is the upcoming Blu-Ray release of X-Men: First Class. (Hence the awesome image of Wolverine in this article).

While Android does have Netflix, Hulu and Movies in the Android Market (along with a few other movie streaming services), there is always room for more entertainment and it’s never a bad thing to see Android getting love from the bigger players in the Entertainment industry. Netflix has had a pretty much pain-free experience on iOS and unfortunately, Android users can’t say the same thing.

With an industry titan like 20th Century Fox jumping on board the Android train, it will really help to show the rest of the industry that Android is here to stay and is experiencing growth that other mobile operating systems can dream to achieve.
