Earlier today, at Google I/O in San Francisco, the company announced ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’; the next iteration of Android. While not offering a specific version number, Google was able to offer up some details on the next version, including a ‘state of the art UI’.
During a Q&A, Andy Rubin was asked if this new user interface would require some more processing power than what we’ve come to expect. Andy said that, while he couldn’t confirm this one way or another, he did say that it’s important to Google that older devices can enjoy Ice Cream Sandwich as well as the rest of the gang.
But, wait, there’s more!
Andy also said that Google is looking at introducing another phone that will easily handle Ice Cream Sandwich as well as much more! This brand new device is most certainly the next Nexus device, but the more pressing question is what can we expect this time around? The Nexus One really raised the bar on high-end Android devices and, while the Nexus S didn’t quite offer as much innovation as one would hope, it is definitely one of the best Android devices out there for your money.
What would you like to see in the next Google Nexus device?
