The Motorola Droid X is coming and Verizon has just pushed out an ad today in the NY Times that takes a shot at the iPhone 4′s antenna issues. For the most part, the ad is pretty straightforward offering up the specs on the Droid X and indicating the July 15th release. One portion of the copy got our attention when referencing the double antenna design on the Droid X.
The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls.

The Droid X won’t land until July 15th, but it’s clear the gloves are off.
Update: Motorola has taken the message to Twitter and Facebook. Make no mistake, they are have a good ole’ time picking on Apple and their antennae issue.
