My favorite apps so far are:
PDANET access internet on laptop at anytime from phones connection
Youmail like visual vm only better, fully customizable vm for contacts
Last Fm client similar to slacker or pandora only better bc it plays songs, artists you select and only those artists and songs not "similar to" artists that you choose
Google Maps Navigation
Countdown board is a nice app to see a widget to see how many days left til my wedding
Sportstap so i can see what my fav teams are doing and updates in the games.
Astro file manager so that i can move files around the phone easily.
Coinflip is a fun program for games and such
Google Voice app is a mustvirtual phone number for those of you that dont know
Palringo IM client links all your accounts like gmail, facebook, aim, aol, yahoo, etc...
Qik for streaming live videos and than watching later. for example your wife has a baby you film it on your phone and tell people that cant be there to go to qik.com/(your user name) and they can see it live or watch it later.
Shazam for finding the name of that catchy tune at the bar, in the car, or in the club.
Weatherbug so i always know the temp outside to "my location"
Shopsavvy for times im in the store and know there is a cheaper price for this item somewhere else or for a store that "guarentees lowest price" i scan the barcode of the item the app than finds that items price in other "local" locations and on the web. The local part of this app is still building its library of items so give it time this app will be even more amazing.
Thats all i got for now haha, im sure ill have alot more later on. Did alot of research leading up to launch day so had some time to find all these apps prior to getting the droid on launch day.
Lets go Buffalo!!!

Those who use Twitter should check out Swift. Nice alternative to Twidroid. Still looking for a killer Twitter app, both still fall short IMHO.
Have had the phone less than 24 hours, but so far like:
- Quick Settings, which allows you to see and easily adjust the status of the ringer, bluetooth, wi-fi, network data xfer, and GPS receiver from one place
- Flexilis, which allows you to GPS locate your phone and make it scream if you can't find it
- Places Directory, a database of nearby attractions (restaurants, hotels, etc.) similar to a GPS
- Skyscape (medical data/info)
- CardioTrainer, which keeps track of your path when running/walking/biking, estimates calorie burn, and uploads your tracks for reference or sharing
i already have around 40 apps installed on the phone. and that's not counting what was already installed on the phone, just what I've downloaded from the market.
May faves so far:
Nesoid, GameBoid & SNesoid (free lite, paid full) - i'm a huge fan of old nintendo games and those are usually the games i play on my mobile device. i've had NES emulators on all of the my smartphones. i bought all three.
Newsrob (free) - for Google Reader. Very cool.
Flixster Movies (free) - fantastic app for movie fans. great for finding movies in theaters and on DVD. you can watch trailers, see and read user and critic ratings and reviews, allows you to add movies to "want to see list" and post your own rating and review. integrates with facebook by automatically posting what movies you want to see and when you rate a movie. i love it!
Picsay (free, pro) - allows you to do some minor photo editing, but the really great thing is that you can put word bubbles in your photos. also give you pinch to zoom multitouch on Droid. a must have to stick it to those iphone users. i bought this app.
Metal Detector (free) - crazy cool fun app turns your Droid into a real working metal detector. make sure you don't first run next to a computer. messes up the calibration. this thing really works. it detected the springs in my mattress. crazy. suck it iphone!
hope you enjoy!
