    Android Central is claiming this to be the real deal and thinks it wont be long (we have heard that before) before we see the OTA update...

    Someone used Mybackup and it worked 99% of the way. Many people are finding that you have to re-login to Google after rebooting. I think I'll wait.

    looks like alot of the pay apps arent showing up in the market either, probably due to the unofficial ROM
    i think by the end of the month youll see it made available

    I haven't installed anything but my text message counter turned from black (can't see the word under the counter) to see through gray. WTF? It must be a bleed through from reading too many 2.1 threads.

    I got annoyed with the lag and installed the 2.1 leak. It seems much faster. I used MyBackup. Many apps didn't come over but my bookmarks did.

    The latest rumor is that the Droid update is done. So much for the Eris update overlapping.

    I predict that there will be more rumors about the rumored 2.1 OTA for the Eris soon.

    I was on the fence about rooting. But when I heard the 2.1 update was coming to my Droid that was enough to push me over the edge. So I hurried up and rooted my Droid and from what I have read ... I made a smart decision. Currently I am running ultimate droid 9.8.0 over clocked to 1.0ghz with the nexus theme and could not be more happier.

    A rooted droid is a happy droid :dft012:wink
