battery problem; turn off/screen

    I have a samsung capitvate glide. Recently, when I plug my phone into charge it will charge for a couple of minutes then my screen freezes up and turns a creme and black fuzzy lines over my screen. And it will turn off and turn back on over and over till I unplug it and begin the charge turned off. Does anyone know how to fix this??

    Very odd. A few basic questions:
    1) Is the phone actually taking a charge?
    2) Did you add any apps or upgrade the OS just before this started?
    3) Did you get the phone wet or drop it recently?
    4) How long have you had it? If it still has the original battery a new one can sometimes make a difference.
    5) Have you tried to pull the battery with the device on, count to twenty and reinsert the battery?
    6) Is the phone stock or has it been rooted?
    7) Did the battery get hot just before this happened or does it get hot when plugged in?
    8) Are you charging using a charger or with a USB connected to your PC?
