EVO 4G Best Twitter and Facebook Apps?

    Hey Guys:

    What are your thoughts on the best Twitter and Facebook app for the Evo? I'm coming from the PRe and the Facebook app was great. I used Tweed for Twitter and it worked great. The retweets were very good and so where the notifications. But what I liked most was being able to copy a photo friends would post from the internet.

    Currently truying Seesmic and its ok, but it doesnt update automatically as well as I'd like it. Facebook is totally useless.

    What apps are you guys using?

    i enjoy seesmic, never had any issues with it
    the facebook app isnt much of an app since it just opens a web browser, but i only use facebook on the phone a tiny bit so it just works for my needs

    yeah, Facebook sucks. Seesmic is ok. I but I havent found a way to get it to give me alerts for new tweets, etc.. And it doens allow me to save pics my friends post.

    BTW: have you found a way to get the pictures from FB to sync with contacts?

    Go to menu...settings...background updates to set your notifications.

    Yea no way to save pics directly. I use evernote too so I can just hit share and then evernote and it saves there. Not exactly what your looking for but it could work.

    I don't sync Facebook profile life with contacts so I'm not sure.

    Damn, another thing I will miss from WebOS. I try to the notifications now. Gotta figure some for the pics.

    If you open the pic as a link in the browser, can you save it then?

    I use the xScope browser when I want Facebook to work. It has settings for individual bookmarks for the User Agent so I can get to the desktop site.

    To link Facebook photos, open a contact card and click the chain link in the upper right hand corner or the head at the bottom.

    maybe an update with FroYo???

    i found an app called sociable, i emailed the developer to see if it sends out notifications to your phone notification bar, ill let you know. sadly this app is $1.99

    The Facebook app on my phone has notifications. Am I missing something in this discussion?

    * Are you talking about notifications of notifications? I don't use Facebook in real time so I wouldn't want that.

    I started using Touiteur as well. Its really good. But it needs video support. I use Seesmic when uploading videos
