Everything Android Forum Policy


As a member of the EverythingAndroid forum, you must follow the policies and guidelines as outlined. Select a guideline for more detailed explanation. Failure to comply with policies set forth below can result in everything from suspension of forum privileges to being banned from the site.The following are rules and guidelines that we expect all members to follow.Rules and Guidelines (updated December 11th, 2010)

1. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
2. No direct or indirect advertising of your blog, site or product.
3. No foul language
4. You must show respect for fellow members
5. No trolling
6. No links or offers for free Android phones
7. No spam links
8. Do not use super-large fonts or type in all caps.
9. Representatives from commercial manufacturers can take part in discussion, but must disclose their association.
10. Commercial manufacturers are not allowed to use this forum as a means of advertising.
11. Signature links must not include any form or advertising or promotional wording.
12. Multiple accounts are not allowed.
13. Do not post complete articles without giving proper credit.
14. Do not discuss file sharing methods
15. Do not use usernames, avatars or signatures that might not be considered "family friendly"
16. Do not sign up and link to your website. It is a one-way ticket to a lifetime ban.
17. Please use the search feature before posting an inquiry. In most cases, your question has been asked and answered.
18. Please post in the appropriate forum.
19. Please be descriptive when selecting a subject title.
20. Please use proper grammar where possible.
21. Please do not become a "post whore"
22. Please do not cross post
23. Do not solicit personal information, email addresses of our members are ask them to use the personal message system for that purpose.
24. The manufacturer of your phone (HTC, Samsung, Motorola) will likely not condone modifying an phone and such activity may well void the warranty, and to check their product information for matters pertaining to iPhone modification.
25. Please use the Off-Topic forum for anything unrelated to Android.
26. Discussion of religion and/or politics is not permitted in any section of this forum.
27. Copyright Rules: Do not link to or ask for links to copyrighted material. Do not post copyrighted material. Do not link to illegal software.
28. As a member, you understand that EverythingAndroid.org is an independent publication and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by Google Inc.
29. Moderators and Administrators have the final say when it comes to closing threads, member bans and administering the rules of this forum. If you should have any questions regarding the above policies, please consult the site administrator or a moderator BEFORE posting.
30. No discussion of overriding the password lock system due to obvious connections to illegal activity. Your thread will be deleted and there is a good chance you'll receive an infraction.
31. No affiliate links.
32. We don't allow discussion of cracked apps or their support software here on the forum, ever.

These guidelines will be amended as necessary.

Failure to comply will result in your banishment from this site.
