So on my Nexus, which I love, I'm having a problem where the sync (Settings, Personal, Accounts and Sync) gets turned off. I'm not turning it off, so don't know why it is getting turned off. When it does of course, gmail doens't push to my phone and I'm not up to date which makes Bob a very unhappy camper.

Any thoughts? (other than taking something medicinal to make me happy(er)? <G>)

I don't think I've even installed anything in last 7-10 days, much less anything I'd consider out of the ordinary....

You do that in Settings, Accounts and Sync

I tried doing that on my old phone with my primary gmail on the phone and it said it would format the device, however, it will not do that for this device. I just tried it.

Great...just what we need...yet another social platform... ;) Thanks Scott. I guess I' not up to speed on my interactivity with groups, circles, lists, friends, tweeters, etc. How can anyboy even follow the tweets from everyone they follow. Alton Brown tweets like 90x a day....Peter King about the same.

My phone keeps doing the same thing, and I am annoyed. On my phone, when I go to delete the account, I get a message: "This account is required by some applications. You can remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults (which deletes all your personal data.) You can do that in Settings application, under Privacy"

Suggestions? (Have reset many times, but not thinking this will help....)

No idea. I just figured out how to turn off the ridiculous "important" tag that Gmail wants to use on EVERY stinking piece of email that comes in, unless is purports to enlarge certain appendages. Other than that, Google apparently thinks it is important. Through they were supposed to improve the product.

Bob, you keep talking like that and you will start to see black Suburbans following you and very quiet black helicopters overhead.......

You mean everyone else doesn't see them???

IF you like helicopters, perhaps the coolest site in the world is seeing the gunships that accompany Marine 1 thundering over your head at about 150' and watching th entire choreograph of the transport landing, from snipers first, to keeping rotors hot. all played out less than 1000' away.

you know...those little quad choppers are supposedly unnoticeable 50' up and can carry surveillance <G>...I'm just saying... Their use was actually featured in a recent fiction novel, The Ark, by Boyd Morrison--a very good read.
