    Do you know the widget that I am talking about?
    The one where you can flip through your messages on the homescreen. I have the icon, but thats not what I am looking for.

    I didn't know there was a Sense mail widget. It's kind of cool. The funny thing is that when you add it to a screen the sample shows it using a gmail account but it only found my Yahoo account.

    Could you add the gmail account to the email app?

    Yes it only find pop, exchange or imap accounts. I guess you could add gmail as an imap or pop and use it that easy but I don't really need the email account setup twice. Really want to find another widget but am striking out.

    GMail via HTC mail app/widget
    In the HTC email app setup a new account for the GMail
    Incomming...
    Protocol = IMAP
    Email Addr = XXX@gmail.com (or whatever yours is)
    Username = XXX@gmail.com
    Password = <your password>
    IMAP Server = imap.gmail.com
    Security Type = SSL
    Server Port = 993

    Outgoing...
    Login required = Tick
    Password = <your password>
    SMTP Server = smtp.gmail.com
    Security Type = SSL
    Server port = 465

    NOTE: If you don't want the GMail to be pulled on the main account then you can disable that
    Menu>Accounts&Settings>Google>Sync Google Mail
