Hello, everyone. Bob in Atlanta joining in here. I am trying to fill up the day as I wait for our two Droids to arrive tomorrow by Fed-Ex. My life for the last ten years has been organized on some form of Palm Pilot device, the last my trusty Treo 650--my one and only smartphone to date.

I love using technology but do not like overkill and don't need the latest and greatest . I need what works for my needs. My Swiss Army knife is a Spartan model that has about 10 items, far less than the more exotic models available. It does have the life-saving cork screw and even has an add on eye-glasses screw driver that fits into the cork screw.

I've been using micro-computers since 1980. Anybody remember the Osborne computer and CPM? I taught an Introduction to Micro-Computers course in 1980 and looking at the outline the only thing I would need to add to it today would be web-design. Somehow I left that out of the modems and BBS's unit.

My wife insists that we stay with Verizon so I'm finally having to say good-bye to my Palm databases. My task list has been in Shadow Plan for years (I'm a moderator on the Yahoo Group) and I know there is no replacement for that. I'll be posting on here as I try to convert my calendar, task list, and contacts to the Droid. I look forward to the community here. I've been on Everything Treo so this is my first place to look for solutions and advice. I'll have to wait a few weeks after I get the phone in hand before I send Chris my accessory order.
