Droid Eris how long to do initial charge?

    just got me an eris today for my birthday and was reading how your supposed to fully charge the battery before turning the device on. anyone know how long will that take, and how will i be able to tell when it is fully charged?

    About 3 hours.

    To check Battery status:

    From Home Screen:

    Tap Menu>Settings>About Phone>Status

    This will tell you how much battery you have.
