how would i export/extract txt mssgs?

    ive noticed that as these threads start to get around 250-400 messages long, htat it starts to freeze the messaging app.

    when i had my windows mobile phones i had various ways to extract my sms mssgs, as i dont like deleting them as alot of them contain information i need.

    how would i go about this in android?
