Still finding it laggy? Some good and bad about downgrading.

Assuming that the AT&T unit behaves the same as the international units.
There's a software called Odin that is used to flash firmware include past versions to your device.
You don't require root to do this.
Unforatunately, the US SGS2 is still too new to have released the necessary firmware images to allow you to revert. Yup, unless you find something elsewhere it looks like you'll have to wait.

    Here's the links you'll need.

Also if you find it laggy, try a different launcher as performance on one does not equal performance on another.

just a thought...have you checked your storage?

Alot of times when my phone goes kaput with lag its because my memory is bogged down either by backup roms or other things.

Huh. Wouldn't suggest that unless it started sounding like it's a better fit despite the smaller screen.

In iOS, the home screen app is called the springboard, I think.

In Android, it's called a launcher and isn't locked in, you can find replacements in the market. Look up ADW.Launcher or Go Launcher EX.

Each has it's own particular pros and cons. Point is, just because TouchWiz has become laggy doesn't necessarily mean other launchers would be as well.
