I have been complaining about this since I first turned on my Nexus One. Now it's starting to appear on the Blogs and in Google support forums and it appears it's widespread. Some people are complaining that it's just the T-Mobile Network but they are completely wrong. I'm in the middle of Dallas in solid 3g coverage and I can have my N900 on the table next to my Nexus One and the N900 has full 3.5g. Further when I am connected to 3g on the Nexus, download speeds are about 40% of what they are on the N900. This sounds way too familiar to the iPhone 3g release. Hopefully it's a software issue and not hardware.

I am not surprised, on my Verizon Eris any action I perform caused my 3g to knock down to 1x and then back up to 3g, I too hope it's a software issue.
