Can anyone point me in a direction of how to access the sd card and look at videos that may be stored there. I can't seem to find where to access the card directly.

look in the dcim folder. unless you have rooted your tab the file explorer should start you out in the sd card's root folder. You can also look for a video entry in the gallery app

Also note that Android does not come with a File Explorer, so head to the Market to download one. Astro is one of the better ones.

astro is an excellent choice for file explorers. if you download a file from the internet it will be listed under
    Sdcard>download

depending on what format your videos are in (android uses mp4 standard) you can use the standard player or if the videos are .wav files a program called xyplayer is good.

Connect your device to the pc or mac to get access to the sd card.

You need to install Astro file manager to view the files that have installed in your sd card.
