I have never heard of the android emulator, although from what i have read, it is an emulator of the gPhone? Is this correct?

It will help me, and i am sure it will help others if you can post up some more info on this emulator, and where i can get it from. Thank you.

Android is an Operating System for mobile devices. It would need a mobile device to work on. Now, on the computer while development, you need to see what the application you are working on looks like on the phone. An emulator simply gives you an idea of this. Technically, since gPhone development will be on Eclipse with an add-on, Eclipse emulator would be used. For more understanding, you can see the following video.
