Google has acquired a company called BumpTop, a company that’s intellectual property includes “a multitouch 3D interface for a desktop computer”. Android 2.1 dabbled in 3D, so it wouldn’t be a stretch that Google will look to integrate BumpTop’s IP into a new version of Android.
