Nothing like some hard cold numbers to show you the impact Google is having on the smartphone market. According to Vic Gundotra at Google I/O, the company is activating 100,000 Android devices per day. That’s per day! Another plateau is Android Market, which now features over 50,000 applications.
How do they get to that number? There are 60 compatible Android devices from 21 OEMs in 48 countries, spread over 59 carriers. Android army indeed.
