Google To Introduce 32GB Nexus 7, Nexus 10, LG Nexus 4 On October 29th

Google has a major event in NYC taking place on October 29th. Taking some of the wind out of the Windows Phone 8 event planned that very same day, Google has an array of new and updated Nexus devices. Big things coming folks.

First up is the update to Nexus 7. It’s no secret that Google will replace the 16GB variant with a 32GB model at the same price of $249. That price is even more impressive if rumors of the $329 16GB iPad mini price are correct. Google is also said to be offering a version with support for HSPA+.

That’s not all when it comes to tablet news. Samsung will be producing a 10-inch Nexus tablet, codenamed Manta. This will be branded as the Nexus 10. Among the highlights, it will feature 2560×1600 (10:16) resolution with a 300 pixels per inch (PPI). That stacks up favorably to the retina display of the new iPad 3, which is 264 PPI. The Nexus 10 will run Key Lime Pie or Android 4.2.

If that wasn’t enough, rumors of the LG Nexus 4 are also about to become a reality. Also running Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie, the Nexus 4 is a spec powerhouse.

  • Quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor4.7-inch 1280 x 768 display
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB storage
  • 8-megapixel rear-facing camera
  •  1.3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 2100mAh battery
Android 4.2 is said to offering a number of key improvements, with a focus on Google’s Play Store. Content playback will be available in widgets and sharing between devices allowed.
Microsoft has had a Windows Phone 8 event planned on October 29th for quite some time now. After reading that lineup, does anyone want to guess who wins that press cycle?
