Google Maps has been updated today, and the new version is now available in the Android Market. The new version, v5.5.0, brings some minor updates to the popular navigation application but definitely offers some changes that will benefit users of the app.
The changelog for v5.5.0 reads:
- Check in and out directly from Place Pages
- Change Latitude work and home addresses
- Redesigned transit station pages
Not a whole lot on board with this one, but fundamental changes like this are an excellent breath of fresh air in the Android Market. All too often, developers wait until they have a full featured update for their software. It’s great to see Google committed to updating their software often, whether it’s quick bugfixes or feature additions.
