Mysteriously and anonymously, HTC has sent out a bunch of extreme closeups of an unknown devices to various blogs, each getting different images. To my knowledge there are four sets, sent out to AndroidCentral, Gizmodo, Engadget, and SlashGear. The current rumor is that this is the HTC Incredible HD, aka the HTC Mecha, which would be a 4G LTE device.
Here’s a shot of an HTC phone from August of this year, which may be the final device, but it’s awfully hard to tell from these cropped close-ups.
Big props to HTC for doing something a little bit interesting like this, and sending out different pieces of the puzzle to different blogs. At least it’s different.
