Verizon Wireless is reportedly offering employees an opportunity to purchase limited edition versions of either the Motorola Droid RAZR or the RAZR MAXX. They will be priced at $99 for the 16GB and $199 for the 32GB MAXX version.
In addition to being a limited run, there are a few things that help make these limited edition models. They will feature a unique red and black pattern, with the words “Limited Edition” engraved on the front. Each unit will have a unique number on the back. Included with these will be a free dock.
I’m guessing these are supposed to be an incentive to employees. Outside of the minor paint job and engraving, these don’t appear to be much different than what’s available on shelves today. Either way, they will be offered in April. No word on whether the general public will be available to purchase them.
