Nexus Prime Seen at Verizon Headquarters?

According to rumors floating around the Internet, the rumored next-Nexus device, the Nexus Prime by Samsung, has been spotted at Verizon Headquarters, where Samsung was supposedly showing the device off.

According to Techno Buffalo, where the rumor seems to have originated, the Nexus Prime has been seen at Verizon which suggests that the device may find its way to Verizon Wireless – a first for the Nexus line of phones. Google’s Nexus device features a ‘pure Google’ experience, with nothing but Android in its true form. No developer overlays; something that would be nice to have on Verizon.

The Nexus Prime is rumored to feature Ice Cream Sandwich, the next major Android iteration as well as the largest display on the market, a Super AMOLED HD from Samsung Mobile Display.

Of course, this is all speculation but it’s exciting speculation none the less. With all these rumors focusing around Samsung as the manufacturer of the next Nexus device – it seems hard to believe that a different handset manufacturer would come out of the woodwork as the actual designer. I would say that it’s safe to assume that the new Nexus device will feature Ice Cream Sandwich, the Super AMOLED HD display, will be NFC-enabled and will be made by Samsung. As for it heading to Verizon, I’d say it’s too early to tell just yet.
