Sony has announced that the Sony Tablet S will be shipping in the United States for September 16th. This follows last week’s news that the Tablet S will be arriving in Europe later this month.
The Tablet S will be priced at $499.99 for the 16GB model, while the 32GB model will be available for $599. The tablet features:
- 9.4-inch display (1280 x 768 resolution)
- Android 3.1 at launch, Ice Cream Sandwich update projected
- IR
- 3MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear-facer
- Wireless keyboard and dock setup (probably marketed separately)
- Sony-branded software including PlayStation Certified Games
