There a host of amazing features that make HTC’s EVO 3D a much-desired Android device, but one of them that we personally love is rather unknown. The EVO 3D allows you to remove the pre-installed applications that most mobile devices come with these days. Where some say ‘pre-installed’, others say ‘bloatware’ and still others say ‘pure garbage that we’ll never use’.
Whatever your stance on the software, unless you root your device you are totally and entirely stuck with it on your phone. Now this is not the case with the EVO 3D. If you don’t like the pre-loaded content that Sprint has tossed on there for you, then just delete it. It’s that simple. But what’s more is that Sprint has confirmed to Mobile Burn that this is going to become standard practice for future Sprint devices.
Here’s hoping the rest of the carriers jump on board this excellent, excellent philosophy.
