The wild ride that is the Verizon Galaxy Nexus launch continues, with a short press release from Verizon’s corporate PR. Rumored to be launching on December 15th alongside the white Droid RAZR, the Galaxy Nexus release date is still unknown. All we know is that 2011 only has 16 days left, so we’ve narrowed the window down somewhat. You have to wonder why the delay and how this will impact the overall Verizon window of exclusivity.

my friend from VZW called me from his work-related Galaxy Nexus today to tell me that they received an official email stating that tomorrow is the official release. I’m afraid to use the word “Confirmed”, but it’s looking more and more promising that the phone will release soon, as there are only so many days left in this year
I will cancel my 5 person family plan and just go TMO and buy us all Galaxy Nexus if it doesn’t launch soon because honey badger don’t give a ship!
My guy at the Verizon store here in The Bronx called me
at around 12pm to tell me that the Nexus WILL BE
RELEASED TOMORROW THE 15TH. and will hold one for
me. This is the same guy that called me two says before
the Bionic was released and held one for me, so I’m
confident. Tomorrow will be the say ladies and gents.

I was just at my VZW store during my lunch break, and they said tomorrow the phone will be available.
My fingers are crossed, but I am not holding my breathe…..
Yep it’s for real! after reading these comments I called my V store directly and they said it was in fact coming out tomorrow!!! woo hoo!!! at last.
my local verizon store is still not confirming anything. they told me “we have no idea when it will be released”. then i checked with a premium retailer across town and the gal there just kinda laughed and said “soon” but they didn’t have any in stock. whatever…
