When testing software, edge cases should be tested to ensure that the software behaves as expected. Edge case testing can be used to find bugs in software that might not be found during normal testing.

There are several tools and techniques that can be used to test for edge cases. Some of these tools and techniques include:

1. Equivalence partitioning: This technique involves dividing the input data into equivalence classes. An equivalence class is a set of data that can be treated the same for the purposes of testing. For example, if a software program is designed to accept numbers between 1 and 10, then the equivalence classes would be 110, 1120, and so on.

2.Boundary value analysis: This technique involves testing the software with values that are close to the boundary values. For example, if a software program is designed to accept numbers between 1 and 10, then boundary value testing would involve testing the software with values such as 9, 10, 11, and so on.

3.Error guessing: This technique involves trying to guess what might cause an error. For example, if a software program is designed to accept only positive numbers, then error guessing might involve trying to input a negative number.
