If you already have a microSD card that you’re using with another device, it might work with your Galaxy S6. But to get the best performance, we recommend using a Samsung EVO+ microSD card.
Here are the recommended minimum requirements for your microSD card:
Capacity: 32 GB
Speed: Class 10 or UHS1
If you’re using a microSD card for the first time, format it as internal storage. This will give you the best performance and keep your data safe.
On the other hand, if you need to remove your microSD card to use it with another device, format it as portable storage. This will make it compatible with other devices, but you won’t be able to take advantage of the faster speeds or use it as internal storage.

Open the Settings app.
